Concours d'Elegance

27 Sept 2009. Considered by many as the premier car event on the Kenya Motor Sport Federation calendar, the Concours d'Elegance attracts thousands of vintage car enthusiasts annually. Each year hundreds of classic cars and motorcycles participate in the one-day event, which takes place at Nairobi Race Course. With 12 separate classes for cars and six for motorbikes, there is plenty to see. There are also various forms of entertainment including parachute jumps, fly-bys, a motor sale and a comedy show. Organised by the Alfa Romeo Owners Club, this is the 39th consecutive annual event. At the end of the show, each vehicle takes part in a rally around the course, with special attention given to the pre-1940s cars.
