Contemporary art in Kenya.

From 27 Feb 2006 to 30 Mar 2006

28 Feb-31 March 2006. This exhibition and juried competition organised jointly by the Goethe-Institut and the Alliance Franaise showcases work by contemporary artists living in Kenya. Participating artists have been asked to present proposals for creating a symbolic link between the two institutions, which are located approximately 50 m from each other, using the medium of urban art (murals, graffiti art, floor paintings, banners, installations). The project is backed by the Kuona Trust, an organisation supporting local art, and the ministry of gender, sport, culture and social services. Entry free.
