Crown Troupe by Segun Adefila

1 January-29 February 2011. Every Sunday throughout January and February the Terra Kulture Theatre showcases a play entitled Crown Troupe written and directed by Segun Adefila. Leader of Crown Troupe of Africa, Segun Adefila.

Adefila, a Creative Arts graduate of the University of Lagos, accidentally started Crown Troupe with a group of friends in 1996. Since then about four sets of performers both actors and singers have passed through Crown Troupe.

In 2010 the documentary Bariga Boy by the filmmaker Femi Odugbemi, which tells the story of Adefila and of his dance drama group, won the Best Documentary at the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA). Crown Troupe and other tales.
