Cycling Tanzania with International Childcare Trust
2-11 Oct 2009. Thirty intrepid cyclists have the chance of experiencing an African safari by bicycle, as well as raising money for the International Childcare Trust (ICT). ICT is a small, yet highly organised UK charity that works in direct partnership with local organisations in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Cambodia, Sri Lanka and India to ensure the right of children to education and a healthy, happy childhood. The 300 km ride starts in Dar es Salaam and continues through Saadani national park to the foot of the Uluguru mountains outside Morogoro. Cyclists are assured of adventure as they camp under the stars by night and travel through game reserves and local communities by day. The cycle ends appropriately with a visit to an ICT-supported children's project.
