Dance Meets Danse Festival 2009.

26 Oct-1 Nov 2009. This event, which started in 2001, brings together Nigerian and international contemporary dance companies to share ideas and experiences and to promote regional understanding and integration through dance.

The festival features numerous young professional troupes and talented choreographers, who learned their technical and creative skills at workshops in previous editions of this festival and who will present their latest performances. Furthermore, five foreign dance companies from Benin, France, Ghana, Germany and Mozambique will present their latest creations. The programme also includes dance workshops, classes, film screenings and meetings with experts and professional choreographers as well as seminars and round-table sessions with directors, sponsors and the general audience.

In past editions this festival has attracted more than 500 professional and amateur dancers from all around the globe.
