7-22 Sept 2007. The Phoenix Players present one of the most popular works by Nobel prizewinning Italian playwright, actor and director Dario Fo. Inspired by a true story, the play examines the circumstances surrounding the death of an anarchist who fell from a window in a police station in Milan, which was officially recorded as a suicide. The central character, the Maniac, infiltrates a police headquarters and poses at the investigating judge, tricking the police officers into admitting they are part of a cover-up. Starring Aleks Kamau as the Maniac with Alukonya Esilia as Inspector Bertozzo, Arjun Channa as Inspector in Jacket, Harry Ebale as Constable, Niq Ndeda as Superintendent and Wairimu Mwaura as Maria Feletti.
