17 June, 15 July, 19 August, 16 Sept 2010. On the third Thursday of each month for the next four months the public is invited to learn about French or Francophone authors from past centuries. The events will start with the screening of pictures, films and documentaries, followed by an open debate. The first encounter will focus on the life of the French King Henri IV, murdered in 1610 by a Catholic extremist, as well as on Marguerite de Valois, better known as Queen Margot, who is the protagonist of a novel by Alexandre Dumas.
