Destino Dance Company

The launch of the new contemporary dance company Destino. Dancers Addisu Demissie and Junaid Jemul Sendi present Dance for Change, which includes three recent choreographies. Demissie and Sendi use dance as a means of changing people’s lives working with disadvantaged and disabled people from the local community.

Demissie and Sendi were among the young street children trained by the Adunga Dance and Theatre Company project in Addis Ababa, inspired by the British United Dance. As dancers, choreographers and teachers they use contemporary Ethiopian dance techniques in disadvantaged communities in the city.
