2-3 September 2010. A conference taking place in Nairobi is to discuss and promote the innovation of online travel solutions and concepts designed to target a mass audience.

Featuring representatives from the world's leading travel companies including Expedia, WAYN.com and Trip Advisor, presentations will be given on how East-Africa's tourism sector can attract a much larger global audience by becoming more technologically savvy and tapping into the enormous potential of internet sites such as Twitter and Facebook.

Recent examples of mass publicity include South Africa's 2010 World Cup, and the tourist-produced online viral video 'Battle of Kruger', viewed by over 55 million people. Alongside international speakers, there will be a large number of African based companies presenting new ways of promoting Africa online such as Uganda's 'Friend a Gorilla' social media success story.
