Easter Concert at Muson

17 April 2011. Muson organizes this early Easter concert, dedicated to the St John's Passion by Johann Sebastian Bach. This dramatic representation of the Passion, as told in the Gospel of John, is made of dramatically presented recitatives and choruses.

This sacred oratorio from the Suffering According to John was composed by Bach for the Good Friday Vespers service of 1724 during the first winter that he was responsible for church music at the St. Thomas Church and the St. Nicholas Church in Leipzig, Germany.
