The festival uses film to create awareness of the environment and how to keep it clean.
This year films are focusing on the link between the cleanliness of the environment and public health, in particular in the field of sanitation.
One of the timely and important subjects this year has been the recent serious cholera epidemic which has claimed 90 lives and affected 10,000 people.
This is the festival's 10th season and one of the aims is to see how new media can attact the interest of young audiences.
Many of the foreign embassies and cultural institutes in Accra are supporting and hosting events.
