Examples to follow!

3-24 May 2012. This exhibition, entitled Examples to Follow! Expeditions in Aesthetics and Sustainability, is part of a wider project organized by Goethe-Institut and Modern Art Museum/Gebre Kristos Desta Center.

It focuses on those artistic practices, which contribute to the preservation of the planet and influence conscious consumer behaviour and economic efficiency. On display are more than 40 German and international artistic expeditions, which were presented in Berlin in 2010.

These works demonstrate how the boundaries between art, activism and invention can dissolve and how the experiences and methods of environmental initiatives can interconnect with artistic approaches.
