18-21 Oct 2006. Work by resident artists Maria Buchner from Australia, Beatrice Njoroge from Kenya, Stephen Ngaran'ganga from Zimbabwe and Graham Hudson from the United Kingdom goes on show at the Godown Art Centre in Nairobi. Part of the proceeds from the exhibition will go to the Samburu Handicapped Education and Rehabilitation Programme in Maralal, northern Kenya. Coming under the auspices of the Kuona Trust, which was established in 1995 to promote contemporary visual art in Kenya and East Africa, Godown contains studios for leading artists together with a theatre, a puppet workshop and dance rehearsal rooms. The centre hosts regular international and east African artist-in-residence programmes. Opening 18 Oct 18.30.
