17-30 April 2012. This exhibition brings together some recent water colours and paintings by the very famous art historian and artist John Da Silva.
Da Silva, who originally comes from the Goa region, has always lived in Stonetown, Zanzibar, which inspired his love for art. He started his career immortalizing the St John Cathedral of Zanzibar and later moved on to sketching and drawing the beauties of Stonetown.
The main goal very prolific and acclaimed artist, Tanzanian by adoption, is to keep the memory of Zanzibar alive.
Da Silva will hold two conferences on occasion of this exhibition, the first one on 17 April at 18.30 and the second one on 23 April at 18.30.
