Exhibition by Rakeeb Hassan

12-31 July 2011. This exhibition displays the recent works by Rakeeb Hassan. In his stylized and colourful paintings Hassan in inspired by African folk art, masks as well as by the flora and fauna.

Since the 1990s Hassan was lived in Kenya, where he studied fine arts. In 2000 he emigrated to Canada. Throughout his career he displayed his paintings in Kenya, UK, India, Bangladesh, Switzerland and Canada. Furthermore, he worked at a choreographic project in France.
