Exhibition by Uchi and Henry Kpetigo Jnr

26 May-1 June 2010. This exhibition entitled Trotro brings together designs by the dancer, stylist and bead maker Uchi and work by Henry Kpetigo Jnr, a Ghanaian fine art artist.

Uchi from Japanen joys travelling and exploring other cultures and on arriving in Ghana she fell in love with the local tradition of bead and dress making, which became part of her designs. Kpetigo Jnr is a versatile artist who preferrs to paint fabric rather than conventional canvases. His handmade t-shirts, dresses, jeans and bags are designed with tribal symbols, national flags, nature landscapes and abstract scenes.
