20 April-10 May 2007. Painting and sculptures in bronze by veteran artist Mustafa El-Razaz are on display at the Picasso Gallery in Cairo. Known for his versatility as a painter, sculptor, photographer and ceramicist, El-Razaz has been practicing art for 45 years. In 1981 together with the late Abdel-Rahman El- Nashar, Farghali Abdel-Hafiz and Ahmed Nawwar he helped found the Axis group, one of the most important art movements in Egypt in recent years. He draws heavily on folk art and his work, which centres on images of people, animals and birds, has an almost childlike quality. 10.00-21.00. Sun closed.
