16-25 April 2011. This fashion design workshop brings back to Addis Ababa the German-born and London-based fashion icon Markus Lupfer. Lufer organises this ten-day workshop on fashion together with Ethiopian designers such as Adila Ismail, Mahlet Afework, Osman Mohammed, Sewasew Hailu and Yamerote Mengistu.

On this occasion these designers will produce a new collection of hip urban clothing made in Ethiopia. Their creations will be presented to the public on occasion of the Renaissance Fashion Show II, held at the Muffatwerk in Munich, Germany, on 16 July 2011.

The Renaissance Fashion Show I was presented in Addis Ababa in Moplaco Coffeewarehouse in May 2010. This project was made possible thanks to the collaboration of Alemayehu Seife Selassie, cultural manager and editor, The Reporter, Dietmar Lupfer, Muffatwerk Munich, and the Goethe-Institut Addis Abeba.
