26 February 2012-26 February 2013. On display is a selection of these rich and diverse ceramic holdings, made of fired clay, which are part of the permanent collections of Iziko Museums.

On focus are indigenous southern African potteries, mainly collected during field trips and archaeological excavations, as well as pieces of modern and contemporary South African ceramics, acquired since the late 1980s by the Social History Collections department.

On display are also a series of inspirational examples of ceramics coming from Asia and Europe. The exhibition reveals the beauty as well as the importance of ceramics.
