19 June-6 July 2011. The Townhouse gallery displays a photographic exhibition entitled Five Cities Portfolios by the Rotterdam-based designer and architectural photographer Bas Princen.
In this photographic survey Princen focuses on the urban changes in five critical cities such as Istanbul, Beirut, Amman, Cairo and Dubai. His shots of giant construction sites and apparently absurd human artefacts catch the contradictions and oddity of human civilization.
