27 April 2006. Organised in conjunction with the Design for Living Expo (21-28 April), the first ever Freedom of the Streets Festival celebrates the heritage of the Mother City. The one-day programme includes a street soccer tournament, a celebrity football match, performances by local artists and childrens entertainment. Events are centred around the Good Hope Centre the venue of the Expo and Sir Lowry Road, which will be closed to traffic for the duration of the festival. 12.00-19.30.
