Japanese Handcraft Exhibition

16 July-4 August 2012. The Japanese Embassy in collaboration with the Japanese Foundation organizes this travelling exhibition of Japanese handcrafts, highlighting the different traditions and techniques.

On display is a selection of traditional arts and crafts, including ceramics, dyeing, metalwork, lacquer ware, wood and bamboo works, and papermaking. It demonstrates that Japanese craft artists continue to use traditional techniques to produce their highly creative pieces.

Before Dar Es Salaam this exhibition was displayed in Riga (Latvia), in Chernihiv (Ukraine) and in Bratislava (Slovak Republic).
