Jazz cabaret evening.

31 March 2006. Girum Mezmour (guitar), Beale Merawi (bass) and Olaf Boelsen (saxophone) perform in a jazz cabaret evening at the Alliance thio-franaise. Mezmour is considered one of the best guitarists in Addis Ababa and he has accompanied numerous singers and musicians including Teddy Afro and Mahamoud Ahmed. He is the leader of the jazz band Afro Sound, which performs at the Coffee House jazz club on Thursdays. Merawi studied at the Yared Music School in the Ethiopian capital and is a member of Afro Sound and the Addis Band. Boelsen studied at the music conservatory in Amsterdam and is a member of the group Jump to Addis. He teaches saxophone in Addis Ababa. 18.30. Entrance 20 Birr.
