Kendo: Japanese Art of the Sword

29-30 May 2012. This breathtaking performance is performed by seven of the best practitioners from Japan and organized by the Embassy of Japan.

It pays homage to the Samurai culture and its traditions, such as to the art of the sword or Kendo, which was for the Samurai one of the most important martial arts and later became a central part of the Japanese culture. It is not just about fighting, but more about the discipline, beauty, physical and mental strength one gains through the practice of its ways.
