21-31 Oct. This year's film festival, under the title Africa and the Diaspora, has attracted a large amount of international interest. The festival takes the form of a competition and award-winning African films such as A Rebel Missionary in South Africa and Jerusalema are in the running for a prize. Of the foreign movies included are Hollywood releases Patterns of Passion and Gospel Hill. Only films produced in the last two years are eligible to take part and all must have a link to Africa and its diaspora.
