21-30 October 2010. This year the Kenya International Film Festival, now in its fifth edition, has the theme creating linkages and connecting people, with over 250 movies, short films, classics and new releases by local and international filmmakers. The aim of the event is to challenge African filmmakers to contribute to the international film market, as well as to promote the culture of cinema in Eastern Africa.

The international film festival coincides with the first edition of the Kenya Film Week focusing on Kenyan filmmakers.
