24 Feb 2010. Dr Richard Leakey gives the inaugural lecture in a series to mark the 40th anniversary of The Kenya Museum Society. The title of the lecture is The Leakey Family Story.
The Leakeys are a family of paleontologists, archaeologists and anthropologists who have lived and worked in east Africa for three generations, dedicating themselves to the search for human fossils in a bid to understand the genesis of mankind. Richard founded the Kenya Museum Society in 1971 to raise funds and provide operational assistance to the National Museums of Kenya.
18.30. Tickets Ksh500 including refreshments. Proceeds from ticket sales will fund the Fossil and Artifact Casting Department at the museum.
