1 March 2009. Amateur and professional athletes from all over the world will take part in the 2009 edition of the annual Kilimanjaro marathon. There will be three races, a full 42.2 km marathon, a half marathon and a half marathon for disabled athletes, as well as a 5 km fun run for kids. The race will begin in Moshi stadium then head towards Dar es Salaam before tracking back to Moshi, climbing towards Mweka and then finishing at the stadium. For details see the marathon website.
