Withdrawn is the title of this exhibition by Kim Mafafo which looks at the city of life of a woman called Aziwe, protected from her urban surroundings by lush plants and flowers.
Mafafo, whose father is a watercolourist, has recently taken time off from her studies in film and video at Cape Peninsula University of Technology to paint full time.
This is her first solo show. The opening coincides with the First Thursdays gallery night openings in Cape Town.
