A retrospective of the work of one of Mozambique's most important photojournalists.
The exhibition coincides with the presentation of a book of his photographs. Kok Nam, who died in 2012, was the son of Chinese immigrants from Canton who arrived in southern African at the beginning of the 20th century.
He was born in what was then Lorenzo Marques in 1939 and started working as a photographer in the 1950s. He covered many of the events leading up to and after independence, as well as the subsequent civil war. His worked for all the leading publications in Maputo and his photos were also published in many US and UK newspapers.
