19 Oct 2006. Ghanas Kutashe Band performs a combination of reggae, calypso, highlife, zouk and jazz rhythms at the British Council in Accra. Kutashe (pronounced koot-ash and meaning arise in Hausa, the language spoken in Niger and northern Nigeria) draws inspiration from Manu Dibango from Cameroon, King Sunny Ade from Nigeria and the late Fela Anikulapo, also from Nigeria. The band is well known in Ghana as well as internationally. 17.00-20.00.
