7 August 2012. The Memorial Edition of Kwani? Open Mic features a live performance by the Canadian poet and storyteller Ian Kamau, as well as the Canadian poet, musician and actor Dembede Mido.

Kamau has opened shows for K'Naan, K-OS, Saul Williams, The Roots, Michael Franti, Ben Harper, Ursula Rucker, Talib Kweli and Shad. Mido is known for his thought provoking poems as well as for incorporating beatboxing in his life performances.

Event lasts from 19.00 to 22.00.
