8 Dec 2007. Roughly 35,000 runners, including top international athletes, are expected to take part in the 2007 Lagos half marathon sponsored by Nigerian telecommunications operator Globacom. The 21 km race begins at 07.00 at the general post office, Marina, and passes through Tafawa Balewa Square to Awolowo Road, down to Sanusi Fafunwa, Adetokunbo Ademola and Ahmadu Bello streets and on to Apongbon Bridge before ending at the National Stadium, Surulere.
