5 - 7 November 2010. The inaugural Lagos Jazz Series takes place over three days from 5 November in various locations across Lagos.

Designed to boost Lagos' standing in the international jazz scene, the festival features renowned jazz performers from the US, Europe and Africa, as well as Nigeria's best-known acts.

Headlining the event is American pianist and composer Randy Weston and Simone (daughter of Nina Simone) as well as featuring Karen Petterson, Nneka, Morrie Lode, Mike Aremu, Bez, Aiyetoro and Femi Kuti, with some last-minute performers expected to be added.

The venues include the Japanese garden at the Sofitel Morehouse hotel, the waterfront of the Federal Palace hotel, and the Muri Okunola park, all situated in Victoria Island, Lagos.
