Lagos street carnival

3 Dec. Lagos will hold a 12-hour street carnival on Oba Akran Avenue, in the Ikeja district of the city, on 3 December.

The festival is scheduled to take place from midday until midnight, leading to numerous traffic detours in the area.

The Lagos State Government said that the carnival would showcase the indigenous culture, food and lifestyle of Lagos, and would be a family-friendly event.

More than 700 performers are expected to take part in the colourful festival which will include live music, comedy, design, animation and costumes.
