14 May-9 June 2010. Kenya-born artist Larissa Hoops presents her second solo show in the capital Nairobi.

Born in Kenya in 1981, Hoops studied fine art at the University of Gloucestershire in the United Kingdom, where she currently lives and works. She has taken part in several group exhibitions worldwide, including Africa Now!, arranged by the World Bank in Washington Dc in 2008, and Africaines, a show of work by contemporary African women artists organised as part of the Pan African Cultural Festival in Algiers in 2009. Her work mainly focuses on Kenya and uses colour and humour to explore the everyday ironies and inequalities of life here.
