20 November-22 December 2011. This exhibition entitled Libya: The Road to Freedom, displays the photographs by Amr Abdallah and Mohamed Messara, who documented the civil war , better known as Libyan revolution.

On 15 February 2011 in Benghazi protests started against the government of Colonel Gaddafi (1942-2011), These protests escalated into a rebellion that soon spread across Libya.

On this occasion the anti-Gaddafi forces established an interim governing body, the so called National Transitional Council. On 23 October 2011, after several months of civil war and the capture and death of the Colonel, the National Transitional Council officially declared the liberation of Libya and the official end of the war.
