Lights, Camera, Africa!!!

The third edition of this festival for African and diaspora films. This year the theme is Great Migrations. Among the films being screened are Alaskaland by Chinonye Chukwu, Black Africa White Marble by Clemente Bicocchi, Confusion Na Wa by Kenneth Gyang, Mugabe: Villain or Hero? by Roy Agyemang, the world premiere of The Pilot and the Passenger by Branwen Okpako and the first Ivory Coast 3D animation Ashanti Princess by Africatoon Production. The film festival, which is designed to bring top quality African films to a Nigerian audience, is organised in conjunction with The Life House, the African Film Festival and Nadia Denton, who published her first book The Black British Filmmaker’s Guide to Success in 2011. Films are shown at the Wheatbaker, the British Council, the Southern Sun Hotel and Freedom Park.
