24-25 Feb 2006. Swiss choreographer and multi-media specialist Nicole Seiler is in Maputo as part of a southern African tour with two solo pieces combining dance and video projections. Madame K, danced by Kylie Walters, explores the life of a woman torn between the perfect image that she wants to live up to and her own truth. "Lui", with Mike Winter, examines the same theme but from a male perspective. Seiler studied in Switzerland and Belgium and with Maurice Bjart before joining the dance and theatre company Cie Buissonnire in 1994. She formed her own outfit in 2002, when she also choreographed her first piece, Quoi?. After Maputo, her double bill will be in Johannesburg (1-2 March) and Cape Town (7-8 March). 19.00.
