Bon Voyage. Maimuna Adam’s first solo. The artist is inspired by tales of travel and immigration as she explores her own identity and her family’s stories of travel.
Adam has a fine arts degree from Pretoria University and took part in the second !Kauru Contemporary African Art Project group show at the Pretoria Art Museum in May this year.
She teaches at the Istituto Superior de Artes e Cultur in Maputo and is currently showing at the Kulungwana Gallery, Maputo. The gallery focuses on Mozambique artists and also promotes cinema, theatre and music.
