6-24 Oct 2008. Figurative paintings by Michael Pettit and photographs by Ian Engelbrecht are on display in two solo shows at the Association for Visual Arts (AVA) in Cape Town. Pettit's work explores images and archetypes of theatre, opera, clowns and magicians while Engelbrecht interweaves his own family history and that of South Africa from the turn of the last century to the present.
