15 March 2006. Musician and poet Imani Woomera launches her debut album and book entitled Morning Rain: the Poetry of Imani in the auditorium of the Alliance Francaise in Nairobi. Born in Hawaii and raised in Kenya, Imani is a presenter with leading local radio station 98.4 Capital FM. The evening begins with a performance by upcoming neo-soul artiste Didge, followed by a poetry reading, a jazz poetry/vocal performance and demonstrations of capoeira, the Brazilian martial art. 19.00. Admission Ksh300.
