This literary festival takes place each year at the Fugard Theatre and the independent bookshop, The Book Lounge.
What was a small festival when it started in 2011 has now become a gathering of some 100 authors with over 100 events.
The festival is planned to attract international writers, showcase South African writing and appeal to all ages, especially the young.
Comics and comic book authors are included in the programme and there are also special long-term projects, such as mentoring young writers and stocking a school library. Fugard Theatre, the Book Lounge, 71 Roeland Street.
