11 May 2008. Organic pickles, jams, jellies and fruits, honey, cereals and pulses, spices and candles made of beeswax are among the items on sale in the monthly bazaar organised by Ecological Products of Ethiopia Ltd (ECOPIA), the first organic food processing company in the country. Established in 2005 by a team of food production scientists and other experts from Germany and the Horn of Africa, ECOPIA raises awareness about healthy eating and promotes local organic farming in Ethiopia.
