Following his wifes recent death Gerald hopes to spend the rest of his days alone with his memories. However, he does not reckon on his late wifes planning, which results in a series of unexpected visitors, including his sister-in-law Amanda, his cleaning lady and an old friend, Isobel, all of whom are determined to move in and look after him.
