Paintings Exhibition by Chege Gitura

24 November-15 December 2011. The National Museums of Kenya hosts the first exhibition of paintings by Chege Gitura, entitled New Horizons.

Gitura is a well-known Kenyan interior designer and just recently he decided to follow his passion for painting. In his first series of canvases and oil paintings, Gitura was inspired by people and places, of which he tries to catch the intricate aspects such as the proportion, body form, the facial expression, the hair and the adornment.
