Peace and Milk. Scenes of Northern Somalia

12 June 2012. This book launch is dedicated to a photographic documentation, entitled Peace and Milk: Scenes of Northern Somalia, by the Somali environmentalist Fatima Jibrell and the retired diplomat James Lindsay.

Both authors have been working in close contact with the rural communities of Northern Somalia in order to conserve the environment and improve the standards of living of the rural populations. Their aim is to depict Northern Somalia as a place of great diversity and serenity and not just as a place of violence and suffering.

The authors will participate to a panel discussion.
