19-30 June 2006. James Muriuki, assistant programme coordinator at Ramoma Gallery and experimental photographer, presents a selection of images in What I see in Nairobi. The exhibition is a precursor to another show, Hidden faces of Nairobi, which will present the results of a collaborative project with the Malagasy photographer Pierrot Men at the Alliance Franaise in 2007. Work by Muriuki can also be seen in the itinerant exhibition Snap Judgments New Positions in Contemporary African photography which brings together the work of 35 African photographers from across the continent and is due to open at the Miami Arts Center in Florida, United States, in June.
