The Egyptian author Lenin El-Ramly likes to link in his works a humorous satire to drama and social involvement. He wrote numerous television series, films and plays, in which he used parody, satire and the theatre of the absurd. His works deal with contemporary social phenomena in Egypt and in the Arab world, such as emancipation, religion and terrorism.
