Until 25 Oct 2009. UK-based wildlife charity Born Free Foundation and Wild in Art present Pride of Kenya!, an exhibition of 50 life-size adult male lion sculptures in public spaces throughout Nairobi. The lions are made of fibreglass and have been painted in bright colours by amateur and professional artists. They can be admired in Koinange Street, Loita Street, Kimathi Street, Moi Avenue, August 7th memorial park and the Sarit Centre among other places. Following the exhibition the sculptures will be sold at auction in aid of the Born Free Foundation and its lion conservation work.
